On Friday 6th June, Braybrook Primary Academy was alive with competitive spirit as pupils from Years 2 to 6 took part in our highly anticipated Times Tables Rock Wrangle. The event was a thrilling competition where children raced against the clock with incredible energy and determination to answer as many multiplication and division questions as possible, all while trying to outscore their classmates and rival year groups.
The competition saw students working hard to outscore their peers, showing just how confident and speedy they’ve become with their times tables. From lightning-fast fingers to impressive focus, every year group gave it their all. Year 2 and 3 pupils demonstrated growing confidence with their number facts, while Year 4 showed real speed and accuracy under pressure. Years 5 and 6 raised the bar even higher with some outstanding scores and competitive focus, making for a nail-biting finish.
After an afternoon of intense wrangling, the overall champion was crowned. A huge congratulations goes to Mykel in Year 4, who outperformed students from across the school with an exceptional performance, getting an astonishing 106 answers correct in 1 minute. His combination of speed, accuracy, and composure earned him the well-deserved title of Times Tables Rock Wrangle Champion along with our trophy and enough chocolate to keep him going for a couple of weeks!
We are incredibly proud of all the pupils who took part. The competition highlighted not only their growing times tables knowledge, but also their perseverance, resilience, and team spirit. A huge well done to all the children who took part – your hard work and enthusiasm were truly inspiring. Keep rocking those times tables!
