January has seen the launch of our English core text, Pig Heart Boy by Malorie Blackman. The children have been highly engaged by the themes in the text and have taken part in a range of discussions. They particularly enjoyed our class debate around the theme: should pig heart's be used in human medical procedures? We have also looked at different formalities of writing and wrote formal letters from the perspective of Dr Bryce.
